LA GRANGE MINE WATER SYSTEM

EAST WEAVER CREEK

This photo was taken of the La Grange Hydraulic Gold Mining Company's  inverted siphon across East Weaver Creek, c. 1895.  This was the only one of five siphons across canyons on the mine's water system.  The Baron and Baroness de La Grange are standing on the left side of the pipeline.  This 29 mile system took water out of Stewart's Fork, Rush Creek and West Weaver Creek to the mine on Oregon Gulch- furnishing water to the giants in their hydraulicking operations.
